I have a table with one of its fields as a general field. I have stored several bmp drawings into the general field of several records (via insert object, insert file, eg. tree.bmp).
But I do not know how to remove the contents of the general field so that it is completely clear and shows as "gen" as opposed to "Gen".

I have tried to cut (ctrl-x) the picture, but it still shows as "Gen" when you browse or edit, even though the drawing seems to have gone.

With a memo field that has info in it, it is displayed as "Memo" when you browse, and if you open it and delete the text, it goes back to "memo". I want to do the same with the general field.

How can I get the "Gen" to go back to a totally empty "gen"?
