VFP Version Conflict

I have developed a program using VFP6 and have found that several of my users have VFP2.6 installed on their machines to run one of their applications.

The program that I have developed is compiled into a runtime version.

When these users run my EXE they get the following message:

Convert 3.0 Resource File to 6.0 Format? Yes/No

If they answer either YES or NO my program will run just fine. However, if they answer NO, every so often their ShortCut and Target get changed for their desktop icon relative to their 2.6 application. This does not happen all the time. If they answer YES their Foxuser.dbf file gets corrupted and has to be replaced.

Does anyone know of a fix for this problem. I would like to avoid having the "Covert 3.0 Resource File to 6.0 Format" question appear on the screen and somehow remove the potential for corruption of their Foxuser.dbf or the system modifying their shortcut.

Thanks
