Hi Joseph..

The number one rule of marketing is to not send a mixed message. MS has two tools that have quite a bit of cross-over: VFP and VB. Now, given the fact that MS pushes the Basic Language all over the place - (VB, VBA, VBScript...), it should be fairly clear where MS is focused.... For MS to suggest VFP over VB would send a mixed message. Fact is, MS has been fairly consistient with the message of not pushing VFP over VB, or more simply put, not pushing VFP.

What group does MS encourage the use of VFP? VFP users.... In the general scheme of things, VFP makes up a very small percentrage. There is no interest in the publication envrionment for case studies. Only within the VFP community will you see these type of resources...

Go to msdn.microsoft.com/vfoxpro for the resources you seek...

>No-one does any reviews on FoxPro. I have searched the web for recent reviews but they are few and far between. Every other MS app gets reviewed twice a day. It seems to me that Ms are just not pushing VFP. Maybe they are putting out these rumours deliberately to get the idea of VFP's demise into the public. All they have to do is convince the managers that other technologies are "safer" in the long term.
>Very few people know how fast VFP is or what it can do. Without the newsgroups I would have found no information on it at all.

>Just my two cents (pennies)
>Joseph.
