Yup, there is an open source object pascal that is pretty close to Delphi
Inprise will soon (hopefully) release a linux version of Delphi/Builder prob. based on WxWindows, I believe.
That would certainly improve the number of end user apps being developed for Linux.

Maybe someone should do a FoxPro clone with a generic GUI builder. That would be nice.
You could even leave out the DB engine and build in ODBC so it can use other peoples engines (MySQL, Access(?), etc.) ?
