>That's True. The problem is that for example the Gartner group did some research on marketing and comes to the conclusion that the VFP market is a replacement market for 80% of the total sales. That conserns the ppl who i work for. I'm a fox developer, so i know VFP is good, but management can only deside on basis of reports (preferable independent). And reports like the one from Gartner are not very good for the fox community. That is why i try to gather as much info/reports from (pseudo)independent sources.

The Gartner Group is partially correct on this one. Remember that they are basing this on FPW/FPD vs VFP. FPW/FPD was used by lots of end users who have now moved to Access or something else. These people never make the transition to VFP. The Gartner Group predicted several years ago that MS would kill off Fox. It is still here. I was told 20 years ago in college that Cobol was dead. It's still here. CICS was supposed to be dead. It's still here. Fact is, VFP is here today and will be here for many years into the future.

As for the Gartner Group...on a whole...their predictions are wrong about 60% of the time. Not very good odds if you ask me.
