The simple answer is "yes", but it's not very intuitive. Here's an example from VFP6 help file:

DEFINE BAR 5 OF conversion PROMPT '\ KEY CTRL+T, '^T'

You might check out the MenuLib utility in the files section of this forum. It does a really nice job of "objectifying" menus, including on-the-fly alterations. Easy to implement, too, uses the VFP menu builder. There are a few bugs/limitations, but nothing too major.
