>Geez, Garreett, I thought they did away with the law requiring OS/2 to be pre-installed on all computers... ;-)

I have been using OS/2 at home and work since there was an MS OS/2. Been using Win9x at work for quite a while. Been moving away from OS/2 recently. However, until I had to jack with Win98 and Linux in depth over the last few weeks, I didn't really appreciate what a great operating system it really is/was. Win9x is a huge disappointment. I am not familiar with Linux but the difficulties I have had with installing and configuring it reminded me just how far OS/2 has had to go and how far ahead of the pack it was.

On a related note, I was pondering my shift away from OS/2 when I read another thread discussing loyalty versus self-interest in terms of being committed to VFP. Clearly I have chosen self-interest when it comes to my choice of operating system. I will not cut my nose off to spite my face. Unfortunately, the DOJ didn't intervene soon enough.
