A report has a detail band with a field at the top, and an OLE container box directly below. The container box is let’s say 9 lines high. Therefore the detail band is 1 + 9 = 10 lines high.
The OLE container is only set to print it’s photo/drawing is NOT empty. Only a few scattered records do have a photo/drawing.
The report prints fine at first. A list of data and only some with a photo/drawing.
PROBLEM: When the report gets near the bottom, it seems to think it must have a full 10 lines of space before it will print. If it only has 9 lines or less, it forces printing to go onto the next page/column. (It does this even if the next 9 records have no photo, and therefore could have fitted into the available space.)
RESULT: There is always going to be an area of about 9 lines of wasted space at the bottom of the each report page.
Is there a way around this problem? (Or will I have to live with it).
Any help would be welcome.
Regards.
