Yes - it does - I just can't figure out why it doesn't do the same for SPT cursors

But I'm not using an Update proc - I just call TableUpdate() in both cases - it is VFP that is evidently making the decision to use the SQL Server Stored procedure sp_executesql on the cursor and to issue a straight UPDATE ... on the view
