I have a client running an FPW executable on a Novell network (version not available at the moment). One module performs an APPEND BLANK/GET MEMVAR within the cleanup code. This file write has randomly and occasionally created 2 records instead of one, identical except for the fact that the second record created drops data within several non-contiguous fields within the record. With system upgrades within Novell, and fast cpus, this problem has become quite a bit more frequent. Incidentally, update coding uses record locking, SET REPROCESS AUTOMATIC, and FLUSH.
Does this sound like a Novell compatibility problem, or what? Any workarounds?
Thanks in advance,
Howie Brown
