I've been following with keen interest the thread on removing printer specific stuff from a report's FRX file.
I just sent an application out to the first two users and immediately ran into printer problems. So much for keen "awareness" :)
I cleared the EXPR, TAG1 and TAG2 fields. Everything works fine, but the users have to remember on certain reports to change the orientation to landscape. I'd rather not make them remember. So I re-saved the reports in VFP, cleared out the TAG1 and TAG2 fields, and left only the ORIENTATION=1 line in EXPR.
This work OK on the users machines until, at the printer dialog box, they select a different printer (usually PDFWriter, Envoy driver or Microsoft Fax driver). This causes the problem all over again.
Is there a way to leave ONLY the paper orientation in the FRX so it will work with all drivers? Any other suggestions?
TIA!
