re: one-line tooltips

i encountered the same problem.

gotfocus:
Wait Wind "message line1" +chr(13)+"message line2" NoWait

If you're using the main foxpro window, you could put the message on the status bar too (again, in the gotfocus)

You might also want to provide a Help button or key that when activated, displays a list of controls, and what their click and right-click functions are. (I'm overloading my controls with click/rt-clicks in the interest of saving space too)
