just when I was about to despair, thanks for your reply, I don't mind buying new software, what is really infuriating is the lack of support from anyone, we don't support pre release software etc..., when the product is about to ship. BTW I suppose the same applies as to why my HP DAT drive ( C1599A DDS -2 SCSI ) doesn't work either ( using Adaptec EZ - SCSI 4.0 ) ?
