thanks - just what I needed. Beats the heck out of the "work around" I was using.

I do, however, still lose column binding. A simple loop around the .column objects with a ResetToDefault fixes that, but I didn't know if there was a better way to deal with that issue too.

I now have "all" of my core SPT Cursor issues dealt with (knock on wood) and have succesfully updated my framework to actually work with SQL Server!!
