It would allow them to install a full demo version, or self guided tour, etc... Has anyone used Install Shield to do something similar. Or has anyone opted for InstallShield over the VFP installation wizard for just installing their application? If so, Why? Thanks for the feedback.

Marcus,

I second Mike's thought's, search past threads. There have been some good discussions on this topic.

I have been using Install Shield for many years and have been very happy with it. I am currently using Install Shield Express and it covers all the options I need. You can create an install which prompts the user for Typical, Custom or Compact. In the Custom, you can have all of your optional components and let the user select only the ones they want. I think the biggest thing with Install Shield is your first point, you get a very professional looking install.
Also, the autorun featture works great.

Kind Regards,

Mat
