There are dbf recovery utilities out there. I think some of them are listed here in the UT files. However, not all damage that causes that error message can be fixed (most can), so I hope you have a backup. Also, don't do anything with that file until you get a recovery tool. Anything you try will most likely make the damage worse and possibly render the file unrecoverable.
