Borland also got upset when their number one compiler architect (Anders Neilson? appologies in advance if incorrect) jumped ship to Microsoft :-), he and another (forget who?) wrote Turbo Pascal (in assembler!).
The first version of Turbo C was written by Robert Jarvis (Yep, 1 man) although I read a confilicting article that said Borland bought it from Whitesmiths?
