I am running a Win98 - multi-monitor setup with one 16 MB AGP, and one 4 MB PCI video card, (can't remember the make of either, but they weren't all that costly...) I have an inexpensive 17" magnavox monitor on the AGP card, and a very cheap 15" monitor on the PCI card.
The two monitors sit side by side on my desk. I think the resolutions are 1024 X 768, and 800 X 600, respectivley. I use the 17" monitor primarily, mostly for designing forms and coding, and running other apps as well. I use the 15" monitor for the debugger, and my Hacker's Guide. This way I can watch the debuger and my forms as I step through code, or, with a quick alt-tab, switch to the Hacker's guide (with form designer still visible on the big monitor) to answer a quick question.
I haven't had any problems with this setup, and would be extremely hard pressed to return to a normal one-monitor setup after having had the pleasure of using this design configuration. I'd recommend it to
anyone!
