It's the "test effect". You think something looks right at the time, and then later on - when you're under less pressure - you think back on it and... D'Oh! For my part, I wish I could edit a couple of the brilliant and perceptive comments I submitted, after I woke up with a flash of insight around 3 a.m. the night after the exam and realized that I had read the question wrong.
