I am using the new Visual Studio Installer and am quite happy with the results. I created a VFP Merge Module for it (which I've recently sent to John Harvey) that I can send to you if you want it. My only grip is that while you can have the install create shortcuts wherever you want, you can't modify the 'start in' (working directory) of the shortcut. I did find a quick way around it with the Windows Installer Platform SDK there is a gizmo called Orca that lets you go and modify the created .msi file to make these changes...takes about 2 seconds.
I've also been playing around with the Wise Installer thingy...which looks even more cool, but it does so much it seems like one could spend a lot of time just doing the install part of their application. I also played around with the new InstallShield one as well...and sort of came to the same conclusion. Based on what I've seen...the Wise one does the most...(and for me..to much) and the Visual Studio Installer will take the least amount of time to create.

It would allow them to install a full demo version, or self guided tour, etc... Has anyone used Install Shield to do something similar. Or has anyone opted for InstallShield over the VFP installation wizard for just installing their application? If so, Why? Thanks for the feedback.
