Your example is a good demonstration of passing by reference, but that is not what I was telling George. I was saying;

LOCAL lcTitle
lcTitle = "My Great Report"
REPORT FORM MyRepoert TO PRINT

In MyReport I can make a report field with lcTitle as its expression and the report will see the value from the LOCAL var in the calling method.
