I've ran many apps on machines that did not have the VFP run-time installed, but rather the dlls were sitting in the same directory as the exe, without any problems.

>>>>That helps a lot. Would the command just be "run myapp.exe". also i would need the .dll associated with foxpro. do you think i would be safe to extract into their window\temp the .exe and the .dll files?

>>>Brenda, unless the client system already had the VFP runtime and any ActiveX components needed installed, this approach won't work. Copying files is not an adquate installation of a VFP application. Your best bet would be to fire an install (maybe a Setup Wizard install) that triggers the desired app as the post-setup executable.

You say the "VFP runtime", is that not the dlls? Would there be problem with me copying the .exe and dlls into their temp folder and executing out of that?

>Yes - some of the VFP runtime files need to be registered using REGSRV32.
