John and others,
I haven't said much in this thread but I do have some pretty strong opinions about its subject so I'll say them now. These are one persons opinions and should not be construed as anything else.
There are some things that bother me about some of the stuff that goes on here.
I am bothered when I see people acting like hall monitors in high school, trying to catch me smoking in the lavatory.
I am bothered when I see some one personally attacked that didn't ask for it first.
I am bothered when I see people making comments that I wouldn't allow my mother to tell me.
I am bothered when I see comments that indicate that someone thinks this place is populated by children who cannot defend themselves.
I am bothered when I see messages that seem to indicate that there is a clique (probably more accurately described as gang) atmosphere here (the Bloods hate the Jets and will kill them on sight).
I am distrubed when I see two people in a flame thread and only one of them gets criticized for it (it does require two to tango you know).
I am distrubed when someone objects to an "off topic" thread in the chatter section. The purpose of the chater section is for those of us who work alone and don't have colleagues to talk wiht during the day. We use chatter to have normal human conversation, which sometimes can get heated esspecially if the subject is some thing of substance.
That's a few of my "pet peeves".
I don't like the idea of some person or gruop of persons deciding what I may or may not read adn whatI may or may not write. I am a big boy adn I will decide what to say. I will also take the consequences of whatever I decide to say.
