>We're also using the M$ Multimedia control. The format is .wav but we compress the files using another control (DynaZip). Our conversations run over 30 minutes on average and the resulting .zip files are around 10 megs. Of course, this requires a lot of storage. The 150 gig we allocated to this project is about halfway used up, so we're looking at more space :)

After we record to a .wav, we run a wav cruncher OCX on the file. It expands the file from 8 bit to 16 bit, then crunches it down to 1 bit. Lots of space savings there. The 1 bit wav file is playable...a bit garbled...but playable.
