Thanks for the reply. USE will not work. Doug at Stonefield looked at these files and said they were all CHR(0)'s and all data was lost.

My major concern at this point is that I don't know what happen. Imagine not changing anything for a year and then you try to read it and finding the screen/form is there but unusaable. For now, I am keeping all backups no matter how old and I am making new backups. It seems that if I can compile the project and create a EXE without error then the project is OK now.

Out side of updating to Foxpro SP3 the only other thing I did was copy my programming stuff form a NT4.0 Server to a NT4.0 workstation machine. Maybe the hard drive is bad on the work station or maybe I lost it with the network cable/card.
