I got round these problems by removing the the system menu, resizing the the VFP form to fit the dialog (& making it fixed size). I save & restore menu settings & main form sizes too, so VFP doesn't keep changing when the app is run.
I'm just learning VFP myself, having gained many bad habits from the DOS version, & I'll probably get told that this is not the way to do things, & I'll gratefully take on board any better suggestions.
