Thanks for the reply.

I have a table with about 4000 records, each record details a product (school science equipment). For example there are fields for code: (092702) and Item: (Bunsen burner) and Detail: (memo with a brief description) and many other fields.

I am busy creating a simple catalogue that will cover only about 500 of these items (500 records of a total of 4000). I have an application (with a main form that gives all the details about each product) which I have used for years. Within this form I have created catalogue functionality on some pages for detailing products, flagging them for inclusion, entering which page they are on, and which main and sub category they will print in.

I have 3 different catalogues in the pipeline, all controlled from within this one application. Then I have reports that will print out these items for a specific catalogue depending on if that item is ticked.

1. I want to be able to print out a simple catalogue, with the BMP drawings etc. using the VFP 5.0 report designer.
(I have already created a report using fields cCode, cItem, mDetail, gPict. It is about 35 pages long and looks very good. All products have a code and a name. Most also have a drawing(gen field) and a description (memo). They are set to stretch and remove if empty.
2. I want to show the BMP image on one of the pages of my form, for those products that do have drawings.
(I have already added an OLE box(gen field control source) that shows these images on one of pageframe pages. It works fine. I have a button to insert a new image, and a button to remove the image.

The problem is the huge size of the memo file. I hope there is a better way to do this.

In the future I was hoping to also include colour photos of the products, captured from a video camera via a graphics board. However the size of the FPT file just for the line drawings has already terrified me.
