V4.00.00.01 Has a memory leak when used with VB or VFP. It is more pronouced with VFP than VB but it is there in both. Once the info starts coming down, FoxPro starts using memory. When you get all the data down and close the connection and even after you stop the prg, most of the memory will still be in use. If you make another request for different data or even the same data memory usage will start where the last one stopped. So if you are bringing down large amount of data or bringing down data repeatedly then you can quicly run out of memory. The ONLY way to release this memory is to quit FoxPro or VB. Thats why we have gone to out of process servers for almost all our programs that require data from any of our AS400's.

Side Note:

IBM says its MS---MS says it IBM.
