FWIW That is the path I chose.
I took 70-100 in Beta, and passed, then I took 70-029 last month and passed. We'll see about 155 and 156, I crammed them both into the same day, I wish they would have announced that extension earlier :(
Anyway, the Microsoft Press Database Implementation With SQL Server 7.0 Training Kit book, the On line Books, and of course the product itself (fully functional 120-day trial version comes with the Training Kit) was all I used to prep for the exam, and while I wouldn't say it was easy, there was nothing on the exam that wasn't at least touched on in that book. But I made it a point to REALLY learn, type in, and play with the examples in the book, and not just read them, so digging into the On-line books was necessary too.
Overall, I found 70-100 the hardest, but it was my first, AND I took it in beta so there were a ton of questions (like the VFP tests), and no study texts or even much literature that I found. Since then I have found a lot of stuff on requirements and system architectures, but at that time, for some reason I couldn't find ANY really relevant web resources.
Of course I didn't get much prep time on the VFP betas either because of jamming them up against 70-029 didn't leave much room, thus my taking them the same day--but I wanted to use my free test voucher from the 100 beta on 029 and I had already scheduled it when the betas were announced. So I did it that way. Also I wanted to get that VFP beta support in there too.
So anyway, that was my certification trek, and I am glad its done for now -- assuming I passed the VFP betas of course. But then there are all those vouchers so... :)
Good Luck,
Bill
