While you uninstall vfp3.0 by vfp uninstall function, the registry of ole would be deleted at the same time, however, vfp5.0 would not add the new ole license to registry file. You can check the registry at \HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Licenses\. You will find out that one of the directories DB4C0D00... is no longer existing (Glenn told me the story in this January, please read the old mail named "Urgent!Urgent!insert OCX problem"). The only way you can install it again is reinstall VFP3.0 in different directory. If you think VFP3.0 is too big to store in your hard-disk, you can install at the minimum size. Therefore, I said "The easiest way! install vfp3.0 again." Now, I don't think it worth to waste too much time in installation. The most important thing is fix the problem. M$ will release Dev. Studio in Win97. You can re-start the whole thing when upgrade to Win97.
