>I currently don't use a third party framework, but I have to build a few small applications (File server based) multi-user...nothing extravagant, but I thought that I would use this opportunity to test out using a framework. So, my questions is this, What would be the best choice for building smaller applications quickly, without a steep learning curve. Also, I would like to re-write a larger application I currently support with this same framework. I did indeed peruse threads here on the subject of frameworks, but I came away even more confused and undecided on a product. Just a soon as I felt like one framework product would work for me, I would find a message stating how much better another framework was than the one I felt would work for me. Anyway, if anyone has some ideas on which product might work best for smaller/midsized/LAN based - multi-user apps, I would appreciate hearing from you.

I've had considerable success with Visual MaxFrame Pro combined with Stonefield Database Toolkit for monolithic VFP applications; both products are well-documented and well-supported, and I've found it to be easy to create applications without constantly fighting the framework to make it behave as I'd like. SDT is an absolute lifesaver, making updates to data tables, databases, views and indexes very easy to deploy to the field, and with solid, reliable and effective replacements for some things that I find to be risky like REINDEX and PACK. VMP has hooks for integrating SDT in the framework.
