This is a pretty long thread, so I'm not sure from this answer if you understand that if you don't have a situation that +requires+ transactions, it is *safe*?

IOW, do you have tableupdate that need to happen on more than one table or you have to cancel them all? That's the first question.

If not, then you are done. If so, then you do need to figure out what's happening with the conflict.
