Exacly, you've got the point. How ever I want to expand this by being able to use this VFP-view in the same manner as with SQL-views, so:
- Use it as a datasource in a SQL-select query
- When doing DML actions I refer to the alias of the view instead of the underlying tables.
In short, I want to abstract the whole thing without losing the advantages which the underlying table-hierarchy offers.
