>I currently don't use a third party framework, but I have to build a few small applications (File server based) multi-user...nothing extravagant, but I thought that I would use this opportunity to test out using a framework. So, my questions is this, What would be the best choice for building smaller applications quickly, without a steep learning curve. Also, I would like to re-write a larger application I currently support with this same framework. I did indeed peruse threads here on the subject of frameworks, but I came away even more confused and undecided on a product. Just a soon as I felt like one framework product would work for me, I would find a message stating how much better another framework was than the one I felt would work for me. Anyway, if anyone has some ideas on which product might work best for smaller/midsized/LAN based - multi-user apps, I would appreciate hearing from you.

Why don't you get demos based on these frameworks. This way you'll be able to make a better decision on which one is better suited to your needs. I am using CodeMine. You can get a demo for it on http://www.codemine.com

I really like it and it won't be long before you're able to do an application with it. Like Ed told you you should really consider buying SDT (Stonefield Database Toolkit). This tools could help you a lot for many things like repairing corrupted files, re-indexing tables, updating tables structures at a client's site...

I think that SDT is a must whatever your choice of framework is.
