the databases have the following sizes:
product: 14 Mb
substances: 14 Mb
tracking: 2 Mb

Networking is with TCP/IP

The amount of data is something I don't really know. In order to create the document 30 tables are used. Most of the data-collecting is done with views and the only thing I notice (in a log-file I create) is that the time to populate a query drops from tenths of a second to 10-15 seconds (per view). This slows down the overall process.

It doesn't happen if only one user is using the system. It only happens when two or more are using it. It has nothing to do with exclusive usage of tables/view because all tables/views are opened shared.

Considering the 'small' size of the database and the huge NT-server that we have I find it hard to believe that it is a server problem.

To give you some indication I have included the time to print the document.
