>>If you're talking about UI Programmer by WallSoft, that was actually one of the most interesting products of its day. Essentially, it was a tool that let you roll your own code generator(s). It was designed for pushng text around and could be theoretically adapted to any language based on text files. At one point helper modules were available for C, as well as xBase.

Well Stated!
Rest of you boy's please,
do not throw stones on one of my favourite tools in far past - UI/WalSoft
this was an exelent tool at it's time that had saved me hours&hours of coding
in Clipper and FP 2.6 and made me being able to deliver software in unbeleivable
short terms by building it at OOP speed&philosophy.
I was able to build complete maintenance (complex) form in less then half
an hour, just by connecting peaces created by UI.
UI had macro language (for templates) that one's you have gotten familiar with it let you build your own reusable template splutions (e.g OBJECTS!!!) for 90%of common developing tasks.
Not to mention design goals (estetic points - for those who cared about it).
Now days with objects and all that, there is no point in using UI, but this was
life saver in the past.

For this situation speaking, if this boss was doing all screens in UI
what you can do is to rewrite templates, and regenerate CODE that actually
does the job, because UI just follows template and generete CODE according to
template instructions.

Or even better dropp all this and rebuild all usinf VFP!
