I'd assume that there'd be 'gaps' and disjoint conversations, just like when you use a twit filter in a news reader. I'd like to be able to filter out messages "From", "To" or "Both", but would be immensely pleased with just the "From" or "Both" options. Again, I see this as a relatively expensive proposition for UT, since it means carrying a variable set of filters for each user on the system, and I don't know what the effect on the threading mechanism would be - I suspect that Michel would have to build the thread and then extract the undesirable records afterwards to keep the links intact.
