>I went to the controls portion of the options menu and added the Microsoft Rich Text Box Control. I created a form and added the control. Now how do I type in an uderlined word and such?

You have full programmatic control over the content of the RichText editor - there are properties for setting fonts, underline, boldface, etc. Take a look at the documentation - Rtfbox98.chm (available on MSDN online if you don't have a copy); the examples are in VB, but easily translated. The Visual Basic Concepts documentation has a complete section just on using the RichText Control if you have VB6.
