Included with VFP5.0 is a handy PRG file called scctext.prg. It takes scx, lbl, mnx, frx, and vcx files and converts them to ascii text files It can also take those ascii text files and convert them back into the tables thay came from. MS did this to allow compatibility with source control programs that must work with ascii files.

I'm thinking great. VSS stores an asci representation of forms, classes and reports. It should convert back and forth automatically. I should be able to do multiple checkouts and merges. This is awsome. Much to my disapointment I have not been able to get it to work this way.

Using a simple form as a test, VFP makes the text file and stores it along with the scx and sct files. Why? Now I can't do multiple checkouts and I don't see any use other than being able to view differences. Is there anyway that I can get VFP to only store the text file?
