If I understand the problem, you are seeing records in a "data entry" application that fulfill the rquirements of the filtered expression. For data entry, we use temporary tables that have the same structure as the main table -- all work is done to the temporary table until the user is happy ( and data is reasonable, if not correct ). As others have indicated, the grid will respond to the filtering applied -- if the expression includes extraneous record(s) the user will see them too.
