It took me three days to write that dialog. As much as I hate to say anything good about Oracle's develeopment tools, ALL of their forms have a default query mode on all fields on the form, including child tables, and executing the query sets the record pointer to the correct parent record.
If my users decide they need to searrh on more fields,I'll scream. I'd shoot the guy that made the policy "All tables will be in 3nf", but I am opposed to suicide:-)
