The HP printer driver can cause some problems because it leaves the processor's floating point/MMX registers in an unpredictable state that can cause VFP to crash. VFP6 SP3 addressed some but not all the HP-driver related problems, especially the C..5 errors. There are workarounds documented in the MS KBase at http://support.microsoft.com/support/kb/articles/Q183/5/22.asp which documents several approaches to dealing with the problem. The best of these IMO at least is to use a compatible MS-supplied printer driver rather than the HP-supplied driver.
