Yes as far as it's in one of char sets. I just inserted a "sum" symbol from symbol set. From "character map" copy&paste. It's asking for much for a user because they would probably do it the same way in a word or excel document. Also "equation editor" is another insertable object (like "organization chart" but don't ask how for now :)
