The terminal server is a 2-cpu hp xeon. I monitor cpu and i/o usage on the performance monitor. When I run one job, there is 10-20% usage. When I start the second job, the usage drops to zero or near zero, with sharp spikes every few seconds. The spikes correspond to activity in both jobs as shown by the status bars at the bottom of the foxpro windows. If I put the junk files on disks belonging to a different file server, the two jobs run much faster together. There seems to be some sort of interference in the file i/o activity (maybe cacheing) between the 2 terminal server sessions, that kills the performance.
I am looking for some sort of workaround, so far with little success.
