Mario,

The database container is just a standard VFP table with different file extensions

DBC is the dbf (main data file),
DCX is the cdx (structural index file), and
DCT is the fpt (memo and general field data file)

>i'm totally blank on this. what is a dcx file. my book doesn't have details of it. so with the vfp on-line help. is it an index for the tables in a database. what's its commercial application. maybe, just maybe, i could use it.
