Erik,
If it happens to be a Dell notebook I had to download a BIOS update that allows the Touchpad to autodisable if it finds the mouse plugged in on the PS/2 port. That's what it took to get my wheel rolling. I LOVE the thing now!
>>>One of my users just installed an MS Intellimouse and the corresponding software on her Win98 laptop. The mouse works fine.
>>>
>>>However, starting any VFP SP3 application causes a GPF in Explorer.exe. The VFP app thereafter runs fine. Killing mswheel in the running tasks solves the problem, but disables the wheel features of the mouse. All other applications seem to work fine. Anybody seen this?

>>I don't have the Intellirat drivers installed with my wheel mouse, and it works fine with the apps I use it from (VFP, IE, etc.) I'm using the PS/2 compatible mouse port drivers from MS dated 4-23-1999 (MSMOUSE.VXD version 4.10.1998 and MOUSE.DRV version 9.01.0.0000)

>Win98? With NT and Win2K, I don't install the software either- the wheel just works. But it didn't on the Win98 laptop, until the mouse software waas installed. Just like on earlier versions of Win95.
