If you read the Rushmore docs it says the expression must be in the format of;

< fieldName > < operator > < examplevalue >

If you have;

WHERE EMPTY(Field) = .T.

or

WHERE EMPTY( Field )

and there is an INDEX on EMPTY( Field ) then it is optimizable.
