Kevin,

Can you show us the exact SetFldState() code you asre running that doesn't work.

BTW, I am not sure, but I recall soething from teh past where it was discovered that changing teh fiedl state on teh buffer only affected the return from GetFldState and not what VFP saaw and how VFP dealt with teh buffer.
