Transactions new new in VFP 3.0. The PLB you refer to used transactions of Novel, FP 2.x could also use ODBC to access data in other databses that had transactions but VFP transactions were new to VFP 3.0.

As for teh buffering thing, I long ago posted aretraction to that statement. Yes it is possible to use a transaction on an unbuffered table but it sertainly makes no sense to do that.
