Yup. I haven't thought of it at all :) I also have an idea about that beeping UPS as if it might be excess HD usage getting the overall load near or above UPS could support. I don't know the electronics and might be totally a silly idea.
Printer drivers are my #1 suspicious in case of report related problems :)
